The Linda Hall: Science Library & Arboretum is one of the world’s leading independent science research libraries. Our mission is to use our collections and other resources to inspire curiosity, innovation, and cultural engagement with science, through collecting, education, and interpretation. Media outlets can reach out to our Communications Manager for interviews with experts, image and filming requests, scheduling a visit, or for any other inquiries. 

The Linda Hall’s Scientist of the Day and Digital Exhibitions are great resources for stories on a variety of STEM- and history of science-related topics. If you need help finding information in our collection for your story, we are happy to assist. 

Image Requests

The Linda Hall can provide media organizations with images from our collection upon request, provided they are in the public domain. While The Linda Hall cannot sign photo releases, these digital images can be used for any purpose under the terms of this Creative Commons License. The library’s preferred credit line for all uses is:

Filming and Photography Requests 

The Linda Hall is happy to accommodate filming and photography requests within the Library and on Arboretum grounds from media organizations if arranged in advance with our Communications Manager. Commercial filming requests should be arranged through our event rentals process.
